Nicola & Nick – Lake Garda, Italy – Malcesine wedding photographer

Dave & Ray Davis knew what’s what when it came to a good melody and lyric… and Nicola and Nick knew exactly what was what when it came to organising their amazing wedding celebrations on Lake Garda – A handful of their closest friends and family joined them for a few days in the stunning small lake side village of Malcesine – nestled at the side of Lake Garda in the foothills of the Italian Dolomites.

The dramatic cliff-top castle of Castello Scaligero which overlooks the lake makes for a truly stunning location to get married – and after some R&R involving swimming in the lake, pizza and plenty of ice-creams – the guests made their way there and were joined by Nicola who arrived in maximum European style in an old fiat 500 that managed to just fit through the narrow, cobbled alleys of Malcesine to get her to the ceremony. To cool off afterwards we all headed out for a boat ride and beers on Lake Garda before coming back to celebrate the night away at the amazing lake side restaurant of Al Corsaro – nestled in beneath the castle cliffs.

I’m so lucky to get to travel to the places I do in the name of this job (if I can even call it that!) – but what is really special is getting to spend time with the people and being able to document their relationships and friendships, and to try to capture a little bit of who they all are at such an amazingly exciting time of their lives.

An amazing couple – madly in love – surrounded by the people who mean the most to them in the entire world – sharing incredible experiences and times in beautiful and interesting locations – and being able to document these best days of their lives so they can remember and enjoy it for the rest of their lives. That’s what makes it so special! I say it all the time – but regardless of where you choose to get married, the most important ingredient is the people you invite – and with their close knit bunch of family and friends Nick and Nicola got it spot on. The two of them, with the most important people in their lives, in a beautiful place celebrating their life and love. Perfect!
