So, continuing the whole ‘change is as good as a rest’ for a Wedding Photographer in Yorkshire theme… here a few of my favourite shots from a recent gig I photographed in York at the finally-re-opened-and-being-used-for-something ‘York Barbican

The Sheds are a real York musical institution and since reforming for reunion tours over the last few years they have continued to sell out shows all over the country to a rabid, near cult, fan base. For this year’s annual tour they brought along my good friend Chris Helme as support.

Went for a bit of a black and white vibe with these, mainly as I have always been a huge fan of Jill Furmanovsky’s live work (it doesn’t really get much better than this shot for me…) I met her once, back in the rock’n’roll past, and even got my picture taken by her… I digress…

…oh and for the photographers out there, these were all edited entirely using VSCO film in LR

    really nice Andy. you should try silver FX pro for LR sometime it’s quite a nice plugin, might have to give VSCO a whirl now.

    YEah, I use Silver efex in photoshop, well used to, not so much now… VSCO is great for speeding workflow up in LR, you should check it out!
