Through the day we film in an unobtrusive candid stylehat means we are around capturing each moment that matters, but we never get you to recreate an event or a moment. We are Andy and Abigail, married and working together! Andy is an award winning wedding photographer with over 10 years experience of shooting weddings, and Abigail starting creating wedding films a few years back to enhance what we offered to our couples. There is a huge advantage of having us do both your video and photography as we work in a complimentary style, plus it works out a pretty good deal money wise too! We do also offer photography and film packages separately too – what ever you are after!

Our style is natural and real moments. It’s not overstylised, over edited, or recreated. Wedding video and photography trends change and can start to look outdated quite quickly – but people captured as they really are, the emotions and moments, they are timeless. Documentary York Wedding Films

There are different types of wedding films, but we class our approach and style as documentary or reportage. What this means is that we aim to film in a natural way, without intrusion or staging moments and events. We will use audio from the day – what’s said in the ceremony and the speeches for example, but there is no script from us. We don’t ask you to ‘re enact moments’ or read a script for the purpose of making a ‘film’. We are building your story through the day. We don’t have a formulaic approach or set or things that ‘must’ be in the film, as we observe and watch and capture what happens. In this way your film is like no other.

The film is not just about you, the couple, but also about all your family and friends and your relationships. Your wedding day is likely to have all those you love gathered in one place – this doesn’t happen often. Of course the film will capture how things looks, but what matters more is how you all felt. In years to come, this will matter even more to you.

How we work on the day

Like with photography, there are various styles and approaches to wedding films. Usually for a wedding film, just one of us will be there on the day, as unless it’s a very large wedding, this is all your need. Our aim is to fit in with your day and not turn the event into a film. We keep it low key, whilst capturing each moment perfectly. Our kit is small and compact, discreet. We want people to feel relaxed and comfortable – it’s about celebrating your day and we just want to be there to capture that. Most of the day we use one camera, and for certain parts of the day we have three camera’s. We use clip on and discreet microphones to record the ceremony and speeches – to put it simply, you will forget we are there at times, but when you receive your wedding film you will realise we were everywhere at once. Not having a wedding film is something we hear as a biggest regret of people time and time again, therefore we put our heart and soul into making sure you get a wedding film that is perfect for you.

Wedding film packages

Wedding Videography is now also available as a ‘standalone’ package if this is something that you were looking for. We offer range of elements that can be added together to create your film package. The basic package includes a highlights video of your day, this includes all day coverage plus sound recording of the day. There is also the option for the longer films plus standalone speeches and ceremony. We are also happy to discuss bespoke needs and put together something that is perfect for you. We offer unlimited coverage as standard and are around for your whole day, we believe this is essential to tell your full story. All travel is included – there are no hidden charges.
