What is the importance of wedding photography? Choosing the right wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make. The photography of your wedding is about so much more than the day itself. It’s the first day of an epic and wonderful journey together, a chapter that only ends when…well, let’s not think about that now! In my photography I aim to capture not only how you looked, but how you felt and how you loved, also how other’s loved you right there at that moment on that day. The images you receive are a freeze frame of time, they will take you back and allow you to live moments and feelings again and again.
The importance of wedding photography – why do costs differ?
Weddings can involve a lot of expense. However, as time moves on – the venue becomes just a backdrop to memories, the dress may be kept but never worn again, the food, drink and cake are gone in a day. No matter what, they are expenses that you have chosen to have. However, it is the photographs of the day that hold the most utility. Wedding photography may seem like a luxury, it is a luxury, but the images you receive increase in value over time. They are what help you remember the rest, but most importantly to me – they help you remember the love.
Wedding photographers can differ greatly in price, but you need to choose someone who’s images speak to you. When you choose any luxury item, you are buying a brand. It’s timeless, classic and you are assured of the quality. Style is important, it has to appeal to you. My style is natural, documentary, artistic. I aim to be unobtrusive. I don’t direct the day. I don’t ask for awkward poses or staged shots. I seamlessness fit into the background, allowing you to get on with the most important thing – enjoying your day. You are safe in the knowledge that I am capturing every single moment that matters, and will matter in years to come. I focus on telling your story. I am there from first thing in the morning until the last guests leave, every moment matters. Time moves on, people change and leave us. You will always have these memories.
The importance of wedding photography – picking an experienced photographer
I have been honoured to have picked up a number of awards a long the way. Including Junebugs ‘Best of the Best Wedding Photographers 2016‘, The Masters of Wedding Photography Awards 2016-17, numerous Fearless Awards and TWIA Wedding Photographer of the Year award when I entered in 2015. Awards are nice, but they are not what really matter to me. What is important is making sure couples receive images the love, cherish and can use to relieve that day and all the emotions again and again, and a document of who they were and who mattered to them for future generations to see. Your photography for your wedding is one of the biggest and most important decision you will make.
