It has to be said (though I may be biased) that my wife and I make exceptionally cute babies. The other thing that can be said about our babies is that they are also exceptionally keen. Ida threw herself into the world 6 weeks early and Teddy showed his face nearly 8 weeks before he should have.

Now, although we got to enjoy special, advanced previews of their epic cuteness, it did mean that both of them spent the first few weeks of their lives in special care (specifically York SCBU). The staff and facilities at York SCBU really are something else – the nurses and doctors couldn’t be more helpful, understanding and caring during what can be a brutally stressful and emotional time. And on top of this, facilities such as kitchens, sitting rooms and on-site bedsits mean that new mothers and fathers can spend as much time in hospital as possible to help connect, bond and care for their little bundles of incubated joy. However, these things are not cheap to keep running and the SCBU relies heavily on donations to keep up their awesome standard of care. So, I’ll cut to the chase…

Until the end of May I will be offering ultra good value discounted mini portrait sessions for only £100 – and I will be donating every single penny of that money to York SCBU. In return, you will get an awesome mini portrait session (lasting about an hour) complete with all the edited files for you to keep and print/email/share to your heart’s content. So be it a ‘couples shoot’ with your other half, a family session with your kids, your pet, a baby, or well, any sort of photos just get in touch to book a session!

Because, well everyone deserves to have awesome photos of (and with) people who matter the most to them. And think of the little SCBU babies and families you will be helping out!

Oh and here is the small print – I am just getting into a really busy season of wedding photography, so these sessions are limited and must be conducted in/around York – but don’t let that scare you – I’ll throw in a guided tour for free too… 🙂
