To me, a wedding is more than the day itself. It’s about documenting the story of the the couple. Who they are, how they feel and those who love them. My style in unobtrusive. I don’t direct the day, I don’t get in the way. However, couples can rest assured that I will capture the moments that matter.
Apart from the two minutes I spend making portraits with a couple, I never direct or influence anything during the wedding day. Real life is way better than any idea I could could up with! I work with the moments that occur, the scenes that unfold. The weather or lighting makes no difference, no matter where located or what is happening, the images I produce demonstrate that I am a luxury wedding photographer. As a rule, the best photographs are taken by being up close and in the action, but sometimes you need to know when to step back. Sometimes the pictures just make themselves. I genuinely feel that far too often Wedding Photographer’s focus far too much on the bride and groom. To me it’s just as much about the other people at their wedding who are important in their lives, and even those who couldn’t be there. Beyond anything else, capturing the raw emotions and feelings of the people at the event is the most important job that a good photographer should do. To do this well, requires empathy, and the best way to do that is to be close to the emotions and events, whilst still not influencing events.
Photographically I also love the non wedding elements just as much as the wedding elements of the day. For me the wedding is just a good excuse to get a couple and all the people important to them together for an amazing celebration, and I can capture people just being themselves. These are the images that couples will treasure.

Along the way I have received awards for my work. The most recent include international acclaim from Junebug Weddings where I was named amongst the ‘Best of the Best Wedding Photographers’ in the world for 2016. I have Fearless Photography Awards for innovative and creative work, and Masters of Weddings Awards for my work. I have previously been named the National Wedding Industry Award winner for the UK.
