2014 you have been awesome. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world doing this crazy art I that I get to call a job. So really, this post is just one big thank you.
Thank you to the couples who have trusted me enough to let me into their lives and capture a small piece of it for them. Thank you to the amazingly talented photographers I have worked with, learned from and collaborated with this year. Including, amongst others Sachin Khona, Fer Juarasti, Adam Johnson, Alex Miller, Mick Shah, Rahul Khona, Matthew Long and Esme Mai. And thank you to my exceptionally lovely wife and family for supporting me and putting up with me being away so much. Thank You.
Professionally this year has been beyond amazing – along the way I was named as one of Rangefinder Magazine‘s ‘Rising stars of wedding photography in the world‘, grabbed a few Fearless Photography awards, was awarded winner of the Best Wedding Photographer in England at the Wedding Industry awards, made it onto JuneBugs exclusive, international ‘Best of the Best Wedding photographers in the World 2014‘ selection – and alongside 3 of the UK’s best wedding photographers have established NineDots wedding photography workshops – and we have even bigger plans for 2015!
So anyway, some 50 weddings, 7 countries, 3 ruined cameras, 2 destroyed lenses, 2 worn out flashes, 1 car to the scrap yard and 290,000 frames later – here is some of what I saw in 2014! 🙂
