Best Wedding Photographer UK

I love my job!  I get to hang out with amazing couples and tell their story.  I focus on natural, documentary photography.  That means, no awkward poses, not staged shots. My style is unobtrusive with my mission to be in the background whilst at the same time being everywhere and seeing every moment that matters.  I focus on capturing people as they are. How look and feel on their wedding day.  Focusing on the love they felt for one another and those who love them.  This is what helps make me the best wedding photographer UK.  To find out more about my work, check out my website, Facebook and Instagram.

Best Wedding Photographer UK – Award Winning Photography

At the beginning of 2017 I was selected as one of Junebug Weddings ‘Best of the Best Wedding Photographers‘ in the world.  This is an amazing accolade of which I am very proud.  I am also winner in the Master of Wedding Photography Award for the UK and IE, with a range of images being selected for the award from my portfolio.  I have managed to pick up a number of ‘Fearless Awards‘ from Fearless Photography.  These awards are judged to a very high standard and loom out for creative and unique imagery. Back in 2015 I entered the The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) in the UK and came away with the title of Wedding Photographer of the year.

But I can’t say this enough –  although nice to get, awards aren’t really what matters to me.  My aim is to make images that my couples love.  Images that tell their story, that capture how they felt on that day and allow them to relieve moments again and again.  Photography is about telling a story, it’s about the bigger picture.  If others in the industry also love the images, even better!

Best Wedding Photographer UK  – Mentor

As well as covering my own weddings, I am involved in running workshops and conferences as well as mentoring other photographers.  In 2017 I am speaking at ‘Way Up North‘ in Rome 11-12 of April along with some of the best photographers from across the globe.  In early October I’ll be speaking at Bujaka in Finland, one of the world biggest wedding workshops.  As part of NineDots, we will once again be hosting the amazing gathering for wedding photographers in November in London, as well as workshops in Manchester in February.  It is great to meet and work with so many great talents from across the globe, it helps me constantly challenge myself and look at photography in new and unique ways.  In that way, my work is always evolving.

Best Wedding Photographer UK  – What my couples say…

“I will sell my kidney if I need to in order to book this guy”

Robin Jeffers to his bride to be Louise (married in 2016).

Andy is a fantastic photographer and really captured the essence of our day. Looking through the photographs in the months after our wedding, I felt transported back to the little moments that I had nearly forgotten in the whirlwind of the wedding. Not only are his photographs amazing but he fitted into our wedding perfectly. On the dancefloor later in the evening he really got stuck in and took some unforgettable shots of people dancing and singing which are some of my favourites. Thanks Andy!

Mrs Sarah Goodacre (Glencross)

Andy was a dream to have to capture our day. He managed to get so many different angles and great shots I’m not sure how he did it! He’s a true professional and will get stuck in to get the perfect picture. Our friends and family loved all the pictures and were amazed that he did a mammoth 16 hour day of shooting! I would recommend him to every couple, his personality and passion is a rare find to the wedding industry!

Mrs Sarah Gee (Flint)

We chose our date based on Andy’s availability – his photos speak for themselves and not one person hasn’t gawped at how pefectly the mood of the day is captured. What we didn’t know until the day was his ability to make everyone at ease, to not only capture the joy but encourage it, to document every moment without being noticed (most guests were unaware he was the photographer), to commit to the day (there for breakfast, to hug us goodbye, to lay in the middle of a busy road to capture a shot)
