To travel to the South of France to capture the amazing wedding of Jeff and Nayla was wonderful.  Such a fantastic fun loving couple and the perfect weekend surrounded by family and friends.

Jeff and Nayla are nothing but awesome, and so definitely the perfect match! Their friends and family travelled with friends and family from all around the world to be with them on their wedding day near  Montpellier in the Languedoc region of the  South of France.  The nearest town is Sommieres, a place I have spent many a family holiday over the years so I was extra excited to be involved in their big day!  Jeff and Nayla’s wedding was a fantastic mix of personalities, cultures and tradition.  Nayla herself is part Lebanese and Jeff’s family are Chinse, so it was an explosive melting pot of customs, traditions and different stories and characters! The whole venue was theirs for the weekend, and they really made it their own.

I got to hang out with Jeff and Nayla the evening before their wedding.  We took some time to explore the stunning French Countryside and chat through their big day.  It was geat to hang out with them and find out more about them both and what the day meant for them.  However, nothing prepared me for some of the crazier events of their day.

As traditional in Chinese culture, there were a range of challenges that Jeff had to pass in order to prove himself worthy to marry Nayla.  However, Nayla has a competitive streak and therefore decided to also take part in some of the challenges.  Nayla’s father grows ridiculously hot chillies, therefore it was logical that one challenge involved eating chillies that blew your head off! No less heated were the other challenges that included building card stacks and cutting through a heart on a sheet with a tiny pair of nail scissors each to see who could get round first.  When they eventually met in the middle, they had to carry each other through the heart! Without a doubt, Jeff and Nayla proved themselves worthy of one another!

The weather did not disappoint, and the ceremony and celebrations were held outside.  Stunning scenery, perfect individual touches and also the backdrop of the infinity pool and the Pic St Loup Mountain.

A fun-filled day with all the feels!
